Cover Reveals: Guardians of St Giles Middle Grade Series

Jeffery E Doherty’s middle grade Guardians of St Giles series began with the release of Olivia Stone and the Trouble with Trixies in January 2016, followed up by Olivia Stone and the Dread of the Dreamers. In 2021 we will release the third in the series, Olivia Stone and the Call of the Carnival. A wonderful book and any child from 10 up will just gobble down Olivia Stone’s adventures.

IFWG decided to commission new covers for the first two books, in order to create a better consistency for the series, and they have turned out wonderful. When Olivia Stone and the Call of the Carnival is released (mid 2021), we will re-release the first two books with the new covers.

And here they are:

Doherty isn’t just a talented middle grade author – he is also the artist and designer of his own books. Well done and congratulations on his upcoming title, and new look back catalogue!

IFWG is excited to announce the Australian/UK/NZ release of Olivia Stone and the Dread of the Dreamers,  by Jeffery E Doherty. It is Book 2 in his young teen Guardians of St. Giles series, a wonderful, dark adventure series centred on Olivia Stone, a teenager who is blessed – and cursed – with her blood being mixed with that of a Grotesque.

“I don’t like spiders…they give me the shivers.” Olivia shudders to prove her point.

Dreamweavers feed on the dread and despair of their victims. To help Yip stop their nightmarish infestation of the city, Olivia has to prowl dark streets, brave the boy’s toilet, and break into the old Haven Asylum.

She must face her greatest fear, the mother of all spiders, if she has any hope of saving her friend, Emmett.

Olivia Stone and the Dread of the Dreamers is now available for sale in all good print and online stores.

For those of you who haven’t read the Guardian of St. Giles series, a good place is to start with Olivia Stone and the Trouble With Trixies.

Cover Reveal: Olivia Stone and the Dread of the Dreamers

IFWG is very pleased to reveal the cover for Jeffery E Doherty‘s second book in his middle grade The Guardians of St. Giles series, Olivia Stone and the Dread of the Dreamers. We were entranced with the mischievous antagonists in Olivia Stone and the Trouble With Trixies, and were riveted to the young teen horror and adventure of this latest book. Olivia, the main protagonist of the series, is a school girl who has secret abilities resulting from a crippling injury when a grotesque statue fell on her.

Art and design is by the author.

News: New Cover for Paper Magic

With the increased interest in our children’s titles, and the huge triple-launch event in Canberra this Saturday, we decided it was time for a freshen-up of one of our first kid’s books: Paper Magic, by Jeffery E. Doherty.

New Cover for e-book

Paper Magic is a story about finding courage, facing challenges and overcoming self-doubt. It is about the power of friendship and discovering you don’t need magic to be worthwhile. The park calls to Marina. It tugs at a place deep in her chest but the thought of meeting the children who play there sends her into a breathless panic.

This beautiful story deals with issues of bullying, anxiety and being different, issues increasingly relevant to children of all ages. The story will delight any reader who has ever felt awkward, lonely or anxious.

You can purchase the print title through any good online or bricks and mortar retailer, but also through our print store.

If you want an ebook, visit Amazon.

Event: Triple Header Children’s Book Launch

We are very happy to announce that three of our most recent titles, all children/young teen books, will have their formal book launch together at the marvellous Harry Hartog Bookstore in Westfield Woden, ACT, on 13 February 2016. It will be held from 1.30pm to 3.00pm and we hope that plenty of book-reading families take their children along. There will be readings, signings, music, colouring-in, sketching by artists, and drinks and nibbles. 4 of our authors, two of whom are fine artists, are represented, covering 10 titles published by IFWG Publishing Australia.

Come and enjoy the festivities!
