New Project: Evyntyde Roleplaying

IFWG Publishing is extremely pleased to announce an international collaboration to produce a line of tabletop roleplaying books, under the imprint Evyntyde Roleplaying. The first of the books, pencilled in for March-June 2018, is the core Evyntyde Roleplaying System.

Evyntyde Roleplaying has existed since the 1980s in Australia, in a period and region of great experimentation, supported by a proliferation of gaming conventions. The Evyntyde fantasy world, then produced by Lighthouse Games, had almost a cult following and the designers were keen on publishing the game universe in the form of gaming modules, as well as its unique system of play. This was not to be, and after a very long hiatus, IFWG Publishing will now resurrect this special system, and in future iterations, gaming scenarios and other reference guides. Additionally, the system is well suited to any genre and world setting, and other reference books are planned to cater for players that way inclined. The sky is the limit.

Acknowledgement should be given to the original contributing designers of the Evyntyde World, some of whom also contributed to the system: Craig Fellows, Dominic Huntman, Tony Lloyd, Stephen McCracken, Murray Norwood, Bruce Spencer and Gerry Huntman. Others who contributed in some lesser way include John Lang, Steve Lewis, Michael Mamontov, Craig McLeod, Brian Sylvester, Rowan Vickers, and Geoff Warren.

Key designers of the original system, Gerry Huntman and Stephen McCracken, are now part of the Evyntyde Roleplaying design team, along with three new excellent designers, Lewis Morgan, Darcy Perry, and Grant Stone – all from New Zealand.

The team will periodically post teasers and glimpses of reference material, leading to publication in the first half of 2018.
